Batelco, Bahrain’s leading Communications Solutions Company is delighted to have been presented with the Best BCI Middle East Award (Best Continuity and Resilience Team 2015).
The Awards event took place during the BCI Middle East Conference and Exhibition held in Doha recently.
By winning this prestigious award Batelco is directly eligible to enter for the Business Continuity Management Global Awards that will be held in London in November 2015.
The BCI (Business Continuity Institute) as the world’s leading institute for Business Continuity, recognises the outstanding contribution of business continuity organizations operating in the Middle East. The countries included for the BCI Middle East Award are Bahrain, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Sudan, Turkey, United Arab Emirates and Yemen.
The Judging Panel at the event evaluated Batelco, among other shortlisted companies, for their achievements in Business Continuity leadership, team operation across all disciplines, major challenges faced by the team and their handling of such challenges. The implementation of Business Continuity and improving organizational resilience, including the team profile, credentials, experience and performance in continuing to raise customer satisfaction levels were also part of the comprehensive evaluation.
Speaking following the presentation of the award Batelco Bahrain A/CEO Muna Al Hashemi said, “We are delighted to have achieved this accolade in winning the Best BCI Middle East Award-Best Continuity and Resilience Team 2015. It validates the hard work of our Continuity Management and the team’s efforts in Business Continuity Planning, implementation and continuous improvements towards our customer experience journey while continuing to prioritise the needs of our customers.”
The BCI Awards were judged by a panel of experts and senior business continuity professionals and the winners were presented with their awards in the presence of senior executives, prominent personalities and VIP’s at the Gala Award Ceremony.
Manager Business Continuity, Information Security & Risk Management, Maha Karim and Business Continuity & Risk Manager, Majeed Akbar, attended the event and received the award on behalf of Batelco.
