Hamriyah Free Zone (HFZ) participated in the “Global Business & Markets” showcase at Hannover Fair that ran through April 13 to 17.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi jointly opened the “Hannover Messe” – the world’s biggest industrial trade fair that brought 6,500 companies from around 70 countries to the Hannover fairground.
“We’ve done our best to make the Hamriyah Free Zone a great place for international companies to conduct business in. We offer the best infrastructure facilities and high quality services to welcome foreign investment in various sectors like manufacturing, trade and services,” said Saud Salim Al Mazrouei, Director of Hamriyah Free Zone Authority (HFZA) and Sharjah Airport Free Zone Authority (SAIFZONE) on the sidelines of the event.
“The event that attracted over 240,000 visitors was an excellent venue to woo potential investors and decision makers from various sectors including industrial automation & IT, power transmission & control, energy & environmental technologies, industrial subcontracting, production engineering & services and research & development,” he added.
“It was also an ideal platform to interact with SME enterpreneurs and industry professionals,” said Ali Al Jarwan, Deputy Commercial director of HFZA who led the HFZA delegation to Hannover.
“Hamriyah Free Zone Authority (HFZA), the second largest industrial free zone in the UAE with over 6100 companies, has been participating in the Hannover Messe for many years due to its importance,” explained Al Jarwan.
HFZA has become an ideal transshipment hub for the Indian Subcontinent, North and East Africa and the Arabian Gulf.
