Etihad Etisalat (Mobily) has assigned leadership positions to Saudi nationals.
This is stated to be part of the company's efforts to support the deployment of key national talent in leadership positions and for them to be effectively contributing to the development of the company's business strategy.
Faiez Awadh, Mobily’s HR chief executive, said: “Empowering the outstanding Saudi staff in leadership positions of Mobily is one of the strategic objectives that has helped the company reach its goals; this goes to prove the importance of competent Saudi leadership in the success of Mobily as a company and our reliance on them to help achieve growth and maintain our leadership position among local and regional companies in the telecommunications sector.”
In this regard, Mobily has announced that Ahmed Omar Baaboud will take up the position of executive GM of organization development in the company.
He is expected to play an important role in the organizational development for Mobily in addition to the manpower planning contributing to development of optimal organizational structure of the company for achieving business objectives. Baaboud has extensive experience in many Saudi companies such as Saudi Aramco and Maaden company.
Mobily also appointed Marwan Abdullah Fatani as executive GM performance and rewards; he will work toward helping assess the performance of the company and developing catalysts that contribute to the general performance. He has been a strong contributor to development of Mobily for a long time and had a strong influence in the success.
Mobily appointed Thamer bin Nasser Al-Faris as GM of retails sales as well. He will work toward managing all Mobily sales branches of the company, subsidiaries and partners around the kingdom. Al-Faris has been associated with a number of major Saudi banks, such as the Al-Rajhi Bank, Samba Bank, SABB bank and Alinma Bank.
