Oman's MSM30 Index remained unchanged and closed at 6,297.44 points. The MSM Shariah Index closed at 956.46 points, down by 0.04 per cent. Global Financial Investment was the most active in terms of volume while Al Anwar Holding was the most active in terms of turnover. Tuesday's top gainer was Oman & Emirates, up by 3.30 per cent, while Oman Takaful, down by 8.16 per cent, was the top loser.
As many as 1,267 trades were executed during the day's trading session generating turnover of OMR5.5 million with more than 28.8 million shares changing hands. Out of 41 traded securities, 14 advanced, 9 declined and 18 remained unchanged. GCC and Arab investors were net buyers for OMR155,000 followed by GCC and Arab investors for OMR50,000 while foreign investors were net sellers for OMR85,000 followed by Omani investors for OMR71,000 worth of shares.
Financial Index closed at 7,820.47 points, up by 0.22 per cent. Oman & Emirates, Al Sharqia Investment Holding, Al Anwar Holding and National Bank of Oman increased by 3.30 per cent, 1.31 per cent, 1.10 per cent and 1.02 per cent, respectively. Oman Takaful, United Finance, Ahli Bank and Dhofar Insurance declined by 8.16 per cent, 1.63 per cent, 1.40 per cent and 1.30 per cent, respectively.
Industrial Index remains unchanged and closed at 8,266.30 points. National Oman Fisheries was the only gainer and was up by 1.63 per cent to close at OMR0.062 while Gulf International Chemicals was the only loser in the sector and was down by 0.87 per cent to close at OMR0.228.
Services Sector Index ended the day at 3,456.41 points, down by 0.04 per cent. Jazeira Services was the only gainer in the sector and was up by 0.58 per cent to close at OMR0.344. Oredoo Oman, National Gas and Renaissance Services declined by 0.56 per cent, 0.52 per cent and 0.49 per cent, respectively.
