The MSM30 Index ended on a flat note to close at 7,097.54 points, marginally up by 0.01 per cent. MSM Shariah Index closed at 11,29.78 points, marginally down by 0.15 per cent. Al Batinah Development was the most active in terms of volume while Nawras was the most active in terms of turnover. Dhofar Cattlefeed was the top gainer and closed up by 3.64 per cent, while Gulf International Chemicals was the top loser and closed down by 2.70 per cent.

As many as 1,686 trades were executed in yesterday's trading session generating turnover of OMR8.69 million with over 26.13 million shares traded. Out of 57 traded stocks, 17 advanced, 17 declined and 23 were unchanged. Omani investors were net buyers for OMR457,000 while GCC and Arab investors were net sellers for OMR292,000 followed by foreign investors for OMR165,000 worth of shares.

Financial Sector Index was up by 0.27 per cent at 8361.68 points. Bank Sohar, Al Anwar Holding, Bank Nizwa and Oman Takaful increased by 1.88 per cent, 1.32 per cent, 1.09 per cent, 1.05 per cent and 0.94 per cent, respectively. Oman & Emirates, alizz islamic bank, Oman United Insurance, Al Sharqiya Investment and Taageer Finance declined by 1.18 per cent, 0.92 per cent, 0.83 per cent, 0.71 per cent and 0.59 per cent, respectively.

The Industrial Sector Index was up by 0.09 per cent at 10,909.38 points. Dhofar Cattleefeed, Jazeera Steel Products, Gulf Mushroom and Oman Cables declined by 3.64 per cent, 1.95 per cent, 0.48 per cent and 0.20 per cent, respectively. Gulf International Chemicals, Oman Fisheries, National Aluminium Products and Oman Cement declined by 2.70 per cent, 1.87 per cent, 0.56 per cent and 0.48 per cent, respectively.

Services Sector Index was up by 0.32 per cent and closed at 3809.60 points. Al Maha Marketing, United Power and OIFC increased by 2.13 per cent, 0.56 per cent and 0.36 per cent, respectively. Renaissance Services, Port Services Corp, Nawras and Oman Telecommunications Company declined by 1.07 per cent, 1.05 per cent, 0.62 per cent and 0.31 per cent, respectively.
