The MSM30 Index ended on a flat note at 6,694.50 points, up marginally by 0.01 per cent. The MSM Sharia Index increased by 0.19 per cent to close at 1,003.94 points. Bank Nizwa was the most active in terms of volume while Oredoo remained as the most active in terms of turnover. The top gainer of the day was Taageer Finance, up by 3.68 per cent, while Al Madina Investment, down by 2.70 per cent, was the top loser of the day.

A total number of 1,058 trades were executed during the day's trading session generating turnover of OMR4.22 million with more than 18.31 million shares changing hands. Out of 42 traded stocks, 16 advanced, 13 declined and 13 remained unchanged. Omani investors were net buyers for OMR576,000 while GCC & Arab Investors were net sellers for OMR565,000 followed by Foreign Investors for OMR11,000 worth of shares.

Financial Index closed on a negative note at 8,434.94 points, down by 0.35 per cent. Taageer Finance, Al Izz Islamic Bank, Bank Dhofar and Gulf Investment Services increased by 3.68 per cent, 1.09 per cent, 0.55 per cent and 0.54 per cent respectively. Al Madina Investments, Bank Nizwa, Al Anwar Holding, Bank Muscat and Al Madina Takaful declined by 2.70 per cent, 2.13 per cent, 1.45 per cent, 1.28 per cent and 1.06 per cent respectively.

Industrial Index gained 0.06 per cent to close at 8,653.35 points. National Aluminium, Construction Materials, Al Anwar Ceramics, Oman Cements and Galfar Engineering increased by 2.78 per cent, 2.70 per cent, 0.82 per cent, 0.78 per cent and 0.67 per cent respectively. Al Hassan Engineering, Voltamp Energy, Oman Fisheries, Gulf International Chemicals and Raysut Cement decreased by 1.52 per cent, 1.48 per cent, 1.41 per cent, 1.35 per cent and 1.11 per cent respectively.

Services Sector Index increased 0.17 per cent to close at 3,602.53 points. Ooredoo, Al Suwadi Power, Al Jazeera Services, Omantel and Al Batinah Power increased by 1.12 per cent, 1.12 per cent, 0.98 per cent, 0.56 per cent and 0.56 per cent respectively. National Gas and Renaissance Services declined by 1.09 per cent and 0.41 per cent respectively.
