National Ferries Company is planning to start a ferry service from Muscat port linking Bandar Al Rowdha, Bar Al Jissah, the Wave and Jebel Sifah.
“They (National Ferries) are interested in starting a ferry service linking these projects, which will be fantastic. We are talking to them,” said Philip Jones, Managing Director of Orascom Marina Management.
Jones said National Ferries is planning to buy 150-seater small vessels for this purpose, and the new service is expected to commence before the year-end.
He also said that a one-day excursion on a ferry to Oman’s coastal resorts will be an attraction for those cruise tourists, who visit Muscat port.
