HRH Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz Alsaud, Chairman of Kingdom Holding Company (KHC), received at his office, HE Mr. Youssou N'Dour, Minister of Tourism and Culture of the Republic of Senegal and an accompanying delegation that included Mr. Birame Mbagnick Diagne, Charge D'Affairs, Embassy of Senegal to Saudi Arabia, Mr. Ndongo Niang Ba Mouhamed, Economic Counsellor at the Embassy of Senegal, Mr. Jean-Marc Forneri, Chairman and CEO, Bucephale Finance and Mr. Kacy Grine, Analyst, Bucephale Finance,” said a press release. “The meeting was also attended by Ms. Heba Fatani, Senior Executive Manager, Corporate Communications and Dr. Nahla Alanbar, Private Executive Assistant to HRH the Chairman, Mr. Fahad Bin Saad Bin Nafel, Executive Assistant to HRH the Chairman.
“The meeting began as the Minister thanked Prince Alwaleed for giving him the opportunity to meet with him. During the meeting the two discussed economic and investment issues. His Excellency commended Prince Alwaleed on his local, regional and international investments. Furthermore, the Minister referred to investment opportunities in the Senegal in the hotel sector, and presented Prince Alwaleed with the proposals. In response, the Prince promised to study the investment opportunities in the Senegal.
“Recently, Prince Alwaleed visited the Senegal and met with HE Mr. Macky Sall, President of the Republic of Senegal at the presidential palace. The two discussed investment, economic and general issues related to their respective countries, the meeting was also attended by Senegalese Ministers, KHC and Prince Alwaleed's private office delegation. In addition Prince Alwaleed spoke about His Highness's meeting with the President during a press conference. Moreover the President honored Prince Alwaleed the presidential medal "Grand Officer Del'ordre National Du Lion."
“Prince Alwaleed had visited Senegal in 2003, and met with Former President Wade. During the visit, Prince Alwaleed was awarded the highest national award, the rank of "Grand Officer of The National Order of The Lion," in recognition of his highness' visit to Senegal. His Highness had donated a total of $1,300,000 to Senegal for the development of health and education projects there.”
