The Qatar Exchange was down on Wednesday 22.97 points or 0.26% to 8,917.29 points from 8,940.26 on Tuesday. The volume of shares traded down to 9,824,882 from 14,618,844 on Tuesday, and the value of shares fell to QR309,940,049.38 from QR 537,507,195.58 Tuesday. Among the top losers were Rayan whose share dropped by 2.00% to QR23.00, Qatar National Bank lost 1.84% to QR138.40,Nakilat fell 0.97% to QR19.46 and Barwa was down 0.27% to QR36.60. Today the Qatar Banking and Financial sector lost 96.07 points and the Insurance sector added 74.33 points. The Qatar industrial sector gained 146.95 points and the Services sector down 12.96 points.
