The Qatar Exchange was down on Thursday 54.95 points or 0.78% to 6,963.53 points from 7,018.48 on Wednesday. The volume of shares traded decreased to 3,771,735 from 3,910,031 on Wednesday, and the value of shares was QR126,795,358.90 from 134,145,766.85 Wednesday. Among the top losers were Qat. Islamic Bank whose share dropped by 3.73% to QR72.20, Gulf Warehousing Co. lost 1.12% to QR17.60, National Leasing fell 1.06% to QR27.80 and Barwa down 1.00% to QR29.50. Today the Qatar Banking and Financial sector fell 117.89 points and the Insurance sector was down 138.30 points. The Qatar industrial sector lost 51.68 points and the Services sector was down 2.82 points.
