The Qatar Exchange pursued its upswing trend Sunday adding 81.48 points or 1.18% to 6,991.66 points from 6,910.18 Thursday. The volume of shares traded increased to 5,822,898 from 4,280,552 on Thursday and the value of shares was QR194,354,818.70 from QR119,590,475.95 Thursday. Top gainers were Comm. Bank of Qatar which was up 3.20% to QR67.70, Barwa which gained 2.41% to QR30.10, Qat. Islamic Bank which rose 2.05% to QR75.00 and Industries Qatar which was up 1.77% to QR99.00. Today the Qatar Banking and Financial sector added 134.99 points and the Insurance sector shows 0.00 points. The Qatar industrial sector rose 92.81 points and the Services sector was up 45.23 points.
