DOHA: Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index gained 33.31 points (0.28 percent) when the bourse closed trading at 11,944.62 points Thursday.
The daily turnover rose to QR175.38m with a volume of 3,644,556 shares from 3,297 deals compared to QR 126.68m with a volume of 2,717,685 shares from 2,234 deals on Wednesday.
The market capitalization increased to QR633.88bn from QR631.39bn registered Wednesday.
Indices of five sectors ended in the green and two in red today.
Consumer goods and services index gained the most today, up +0.81% to 7,518.79 points.
Telecoms index dropped 0.61 percent to 1,137.92 points while insurance index dropped 0.54 percent to 4,880.39 points.
QSE Total Return Index gained 0.28 percent to 18,566.2 points, QSE Al Rayan Islamic Index gained, 0.63 percent to 4,678 points and QSE All Share Index gained 0.36 percent to 3,200 points.
From the 43 companies listed on QSE, investors exchanged shares of 40. From these 25 gained, 11 went down and four remained unchanged.
