The ringgit is expected to see volatile trade against the US dollar next week as investors wait out the resolution from US politicians on the fiscal cliff.
RAM Holdings Bhd Group chief economist, Dr Yeah Kim Leng, said if the US government is able to provide some good measures for the crisis by end of this year, the impact would be good for the local currency trading.
However, he said, if this turns the other way, traders will hold more US dollars and will lose their appetite for ringgit.
