UAE financial markets will remain closed on January 1, 2017 to mark the New Year.
According to the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA), work will resume on January 2.
The holiday is based on a circular issued by the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources, and after coordination with the administrations of financial and stock markets and the Dubai Gold and Commodities Exchange.
