Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy, has met the founding members of the government economic communication network ahead of the network’s first meeting.
In his remarks during the meeting at the ministry, Minister Al Mansouri underlined the need for more efforts to promote the nation’s economy and the contributions of all emirates to the current economic growth as part of their commitment to the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the Cabinet’s approval of the designation of 2015 as the Year of Innovation.
He also stressed the need for developing a plan to measure the performance of the network in the short term in addition to a medium-term plan to promote the national economy in international circles and contribute to efforts to improve the country’s ranking on international economic indices.
The new network, Al Mansouri added, will be the cornerstone for spreading public awareness of the goals of national economic development and supporting the media to promote the advantages and achievements of the economy.
He also urged the network to commit to transparency and openness in its relations with the media which are seen as a major partner in the success of the UAE.
