Activities
Union Cement Company (UCC) is a private limited company based in Ras Al Khaimah (UAE). The company was established in 1972 as the first cement producer in the country. The company manufactures and sells cement in the United Arab Emirates and internationally. The company is also involved in the wholesale and retail of cement and gypsum; and invests in marketable equity securities and also bank deposits. The company is engaged in the marketing, distribution and manufacture of various types of Portland and oil-well cement products. Its cement products include Ordinary Portland Cement, High Sulphate Resisting Cement, Moderate Sulphate Resisting Cement, and Oil well Cement. The production plant of the company is located at Khor Khwair area of Ras Al Khaimah. The company has 4 production units with a production capacity of 10,000 ton clinker per day. Moreover, the company owns 60% of shares of Union Cement Norcem Company Limited LLC, a subsidiary established for marketing oil-well cement produced by the company. In addition to the domestic market, the company also serves the markets of the Gulf, Middle East and East Africa.
